RESPONSIBILITIES:

Our Kforce client, a global and well-established financial services firm located in the Boston area, is looking to hire a Senior Investment Accounting Associate to join their new office. This client offers great benefits and growth potential. This position is scheduled as hybrid - 2 days a week onsite.

Responsibilities:


  • Develops, documents, and assures adherence to an internal control framework that ensures accurate and timely financial reporting. Makes recommendations to continuously improve the overall control environment

  • The Senior Investment Accounting Associate will monitor the performance of investments

  • Prepare financial reports

  • Reconcile investment transactions

  • Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations

  • Handle budgeting, forecasting, and providing recommendations for investment strategies

  • Participate in special projects, system upgrades

  • The Senior Investment Accounting Associate will improve accounting processes and systems related to investment accounting and implementing best practices

  • Mentorship and Training, provide guidance and training to junior staff or associates with the accounting team







REQUIREMENTS:



  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related major

  • 4+ years of related work experience with a track record of increasing responsibility

  • Knowledge of Investment accounting principles and Insurance industry accounting

  • Knowledge of STAT and GAAP accounting

  • Ability to analyze financial data

  • Problem solving skills able to identify issues, and develop solutions to address financial challenges or discrepancies

  • Effective communication skill when presenting financial information to team members and explaining complex concepts to stakeholders

  • Financial modeling knowledge

  • Strong organization skills, managing multiple tasks, meeting deadlines, and maintaining accurate records.

  • Financial software proficiency






The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.



We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
