Lead Software Engineer, STIBO/STEP at Kforce Inc in San Francisco, California

Job Description:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Lead Software Engineer, STIBO/STEP. This is a (FTE/C/CTH) contract role to start - contract to hire potential. This role can sit in either San Francisco, CA or San Jose, CA, or Sacramento CA. The schedule is Monday - Thursday in-office; Friday WFH.

Summary:
This Lead Software Engineer will lead the Company's STIBO Product Information Management Application implementation. This role focuses on the Item, Location and Vendor Portal modules.

Duties/Day to Day:

• Lead Software Engineer will be working on STIBO STEP configuration and custom development


• Keeping up to date with what is current in the STEP platform versions and provide suggestions for upgrade


• Setting up new integrations, add object types to the data model, JavaScript business rules and workflow


• Understanding requirements, collaborating with the product management and business teams and transforming into solutions and technical design documents


• As a Lead Software Engineer, you will be debugging business rules and any defect resolutions


• Evaluate the advantages for the upgrade and collaborate with the DevOps team to perform upgrades


• Ensuring PHI/PII data security and compliance


• Recommending solutions towards stability, maintainability, and scalability of the STIBO STEP implementation

REQUIREMENTS:

• 8+ years of technical experience in software development using Java, JavaScript, data and database design, SQL, XML, XSD, JSON, Linux, and Web services


• 5+ years of STIBO STEP systems configuration, development, architectural design, and integration experience; Must be able to do configurations and custom development on the STIBO STEP modules; Attribute creation, business rule creation, portal development, integration endpoint configuration and workflow creation


• Experience working in Retail industry and partnering with cross-functional teams


• Knowledge of working in an agile delivery environment and proficiency in using Jira/Git

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
