We are looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to join our team in supporting the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Health Affairs (ASD(HA)).

The ASD(HA) is the principal staff advisory to the Secretary of Defense for health and oversees the Military Health System (MHS). The MHS is comprised of the Defense Health Agency (DHA), the medical readiness organizations of the Military Departments, and the Uniformed Services University for the Health Sciences.

Your day-to-day work will include:

The Senior Financial Analyst is a highly experienced and specialized role responsible for providing strategic financial analysis and decision support to bridge the integration of the Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System (JCIDS) and Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) processes.

  • Serving as a subject matter expert, driving the alignment between capability requirements and resource allocation.
  • Providing critical insights and recommendations to executive leadership to support strategic decision-making.
  • Serving as the key link between the JCIDS and PPBE processes, ensuring seamless integration and alignment.
  • Developing comprehensive financial analysis and decision support to bridge the gap between capability requirements and budgetary decisions.
  • Monitoring and analyzing key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial matrices.
  • Recommending strategies and initiatives to improve financial performance and operational efficiency.
  • Managing and mentoring junior financial analysts, providing guidance and development opportunities.
  • Fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.

At a minimum you should have:

  • Active SECRET clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree and 18 years of relevant experience OR Master's degree and at least 10 years of relevant experience in strategic financial analysis and decision support, particularly in the context of JCIDS and PPBE processes.
  • Proven track record of providing critical insights and recommendations to executive leadership.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights.
  • Proficient in developing and interpreting KPIs and financial matrices to drive performance optimization.
  • Strong leadership and mentorship skills, with the ability to build and develop high-performing teams.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively convey financial information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

You will be highly desirable if you have:

  • Certified Defense Financial Manager (CDFM) certified

Work Type: On-Site (The Pentagon)
Estimated Salary Range: $145,000 - $175,000

The provided salary range serves as a broad reference. However, Intrepid takes various factors into account when establishing base salary offers, including the position's scope and responsibilities, as well as the candidate's experience, education, skills, and prevailing market conditions.
