The Senior Analytic Strategy and Innovation Analyst role exists to advance major bodies of work that focus on data, analytics, and AI that help Edward Jones build, refine, and activate long-term analytic strategy. Senior Analytic Strategy and Innovation Analysts partner with appropriate stakeholders to develop creative, coherent strategic choices and actions, then drive alignment partner to activate them.

What You'll Do::


  • Lead cross-functional teams and align stakeholders in the development and implementation of analytic strategy at all levels of the firm (enterprise, business segment, functional).

  • Engage and influence senior stakeholders of the firm in the development of and activation of analytic strategy; lead enterprise decision-making exercises (e.g., formulation of enterprise strategy through workshops, creation of strategic objectives)

  • Operate autonomously in environments where excellent thought leadership and ability to collaborate with peers and senior leaders is required for progress

  • Build executive-ready deliverables (e.g., PowerPoint decks, narratives) that effectively synthesize salient issues and recommendations, communicate progress, and advance the work of the individual and of the team

  • Structure workplans that thoughtfully and inclusively drive work forward; align them with relevant stakeholders and manage appropriate interactions throughout the course of work (e.g., regular cadences, others points of contact)

  • Structure ambiguous problems and issues facing the firm/division/team–identify key topics for analysis and approach to analyze

  • Drive analysis using both qualitative and quantitative (e.g., financial modeling, analysis) methods, engaging relevant subject matter experts inside and outside the firm where appropriate, to generate insights and recommendations that advance strategic thinking of the enterprise.

  • Facilitate alignment sessions, working sessions, and workshops with key stakeholders and senior executives, incorporating novel/outside-the-box engagement tactics and methods, resulting in aligned decisions/recommendations and high participant engagement

  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure key business questions and needs are addressed

  • Develop self–identify opportunities for growth and execute a development plan aligned with leader to grow


What Experience You Need:


  • Bachelor’s degree is required with emphasis in business, analytics, economics, or other quantitative field (or relevant work experience).

  • 6+ years of relevant work experience, preferably in enterprise strategy, finance, management consulting, investment banking, or analytics role.

  • Ability to prioritize and execute on multiple tasks/projects and independently adjust to changing priorities

  • Advanced problem solving skills, ability to develop a detailed work plan, and able to influence to execute on the plan

  • Works effectively both independently and in a team environment

  • Ability to influence associates and leadership up to the Executive Management level using verbal, written, and presentation skills.

  • Advanced Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word


What Could Set You Apart:


  • 3+ years of relevant work experience in enterprise or analytics strategy

  • MBA preferred

  • Prior experience in brokerage, financial or banking industry
