Horizon Farm Credit is seeking a full-time Industry Relations and Member Experience Intern for the summer of 2025 in either our Mount Joy, PA, Mechanicsburg, PA, or Shoemakersville, PA branch location. Selected candidate will participate in a 10-12 week internship. Summer Intern hours are 8:00a.m. - 4:30p.m., Monday - Friday. Interested candidates should submit a resume, cover letter, and unofficial transcript through the application link by October 31.



POSITION SUMMARY: Assist the association's industry relations department with developing and executing key projects and initiatives related to customer education and outreach efforts with potential to provide support to the department's other areas of focus, including, but not limited to, industry affairs and corporate giving. This role will also be involved in a collaborative group intern project for the association.


Areas of responsibility include:

• Assist with the development and implementation of association-wide educational and industry relations program efforts
• Develop educational content for young, beginning, small, minority and/or veteran (YBSMV) farmers, which could include webinars, online modules, and more
• Collaborate with internal industry and YBSMV workgroups on identified projects
• Provide support to the Farm Credit Foundation for Agricultural Advancement's scholarship program, including event planning and data analysis
• Assist with inputting participation activity and record into CRM
• Assist with administrative needs of the department.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in agriculture or a related degree with interests in education, industry relations, agribusiness, and/or leadership development.
• Experience in agriculture is considered a plus, but not necessary
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Demonstrates creativity, strategic thinking, and thought leadership
• Experience in Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Must be independent, motivated and adaptable
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel to and from various offices and events within Horizon Farm Credit's territory
