We are recruiting on behalf of a leading Civil and Infrastructure General Contractor based in New Rochelle, New York. We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join their dynamic team. This role is crucial in supporting a range of exciting projects across the city, including civil, infrastructure, and public works initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare detailed cost estimates for civil and infrastructure construction projects.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to develop accurate project scopes and budgets.
Analyze drawings, specifications, and other documents to ensure thorough understanding of project requirements.
Solicit subcontractor bids and develop strong vendor relationships to achieve competitive pricing.
Present estimates and cost analysis to stakeholders, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project timelines.
Monitor project budgets and provide updated cost estimates as projects progress.
Requirements:
Minimum 5 years of experience as an Estimator within the General Contracting (GC) environment.
Strong understanding of civil construction projects, including roads, utilities, infrastructure, and site development.
Proven ability to work on complex, high-value projects.
Experience with estimating software and tools commonly used in construction.
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
Knowledge of local New York City construction codes and regulations is a plus.
