AAA Washington



Are you a talented marketing copywriter who brings a high level of creativity to everything you do? Do you like the idea of inspiring 1.2 million Pacific Northwesterners to get out and explore? Are you interested in becoming part of a 120-year-old brand that doesn't necessarily act like a 120-year-old brand? If so, we'd like to chat with you more about our Copywriter I role.


This is a marketing copywriting role, not technical writing, editorial writing, blog writing, etc. You must provide at least one piece of marketing copywriting work that you're proud of (e.g., something featuring a headline, body copy and a call to action, whether it's a print ad campaign or social posts.) WHAT YOU'LL DO:

Works with Senior Copywriter to create and develop original copy that is on-target and embodies our brand voice.

Writes copy for print, web, email, social, video and more, including marketing and sales materials as well as internal communications.

Collaborates with graphic designers to create marketing and advertising solutions that communicate core ideas in a clear, effective manner.

Works closely with internal stakeholders across departments (including product managers) to implement and support marketing initiatives.

Works closely with the production manager and other creative team members to follow schedules and established formats.

Regularly attends project-and process-related meetings and contributes in a constructive manner.

Provide proofreading for marketing materials.


WHO YOU ARE:

Bachelor's degree (BA) in communication, journalism, English or related field or equivalent experience

1+ years' experience in marketing/advertising copywriting and collaborating with graphic designers/art directors

Competent in Microsoft Office and navigating the internet

Familiarity with MacOS and Mac hardware

Competent entering/manipulating copy within Adobe InDesign and other Creative Suite applications.

Ability to plan, write, and present target-specific copy.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

1+ year experience working at a creative agency or on an in-house creative team

Familiarity with creative briefs

Familiarity with SEO principles

SALARY RANGE:

Offer rate for this position is $24.81/hour to $32.24/hour and the offer rate is based on previous experience.
