Hybrid: 3 days a week onsite

Optomi has partnered with a global entertainment leader to find their next Program Manager. responsible for driving efficiency and coordination across multiple technical teams. This role is critical in supporting the Events & Signals Platform team, which decouples backend services from incoming client signals, delivering enriched and targeted event streams to backend teams.

The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of technical program management experience in the software industry, strong leadership skills, and a proven ability to deliver high-priority projects in Agile environments.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical program management support for the Events & Signals Platform engineering team.
  • Manage three technical teams and oversee all scrum ceremonies and release support.
  • Lead planning meetings, scrum ceremonies, and facilitate cross-functional coordination to align stakeholders and engineering teams.
  • Proactively work with product management and stakeholders to define project scope, prioritize initiatives, and effectively communicate requirements to drive projects forward.
  • Develop and implement processes with engineering teams to improve efficiency and ensure the success of high-priority initiatives.
  • Maintain program tracking and reporting, ensuring full visibility at all levels within the organization.
  • Identify, analyze, prioritize, mitigate, and communicate project risks to both internal and external partners.
  • Ensure Jira, managing ticketing, tagging, and releases for all initiatives.
  • Create and maintain Jira reports, dashboards, and burndowns to track progress and velocity.
  • Serve as a key counterpart to the Events & Signals Platform engineering managers and other team members, demonstrating technical adeptness to facilitate effective discussions.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with stakeholders, aligning program goals with both short- and long-term organizational objectives.
  • Oversee schedule management and capacity planning to ensure timely delivery within project scope while managing competing priorities.

Basic Qualifications:
  • 8+ years of experience in Technical Project/Program Management within the software industry.
  • Extensive experience managing multiple technical teams, scrum teams, and the software development lifecycle (SDLC), including release management for both backend services and consumer-facing software.
  • Proficiency with Agile and other software development methodologies.
  • Expertise in using project management tools such as Jira and Confluence for generating reports, creating dashboards, tracking burndowns, and managing team velocity.
  • Proven ability to lead effective meetings, plan project deliverables, document decisions, and follow up with teams.
  • Strong skills in project tracking, reporting, and communication at various levels of an organization.
  • Initiative-driven, with a proactive approach to program leadership and process development, consistently improving project workflows and team efficiency.
  • Excellent soft skills, including meeting facilitation, communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and conflict resolution.
  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to technical systems and issues with enthusiasm.
  • A positive attitude, capable of delivering results through ambiguity and maintaining focus in challenging situations.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working with platform services that handle real-time data, user signals, or event-driven architecture.
  • Familiarity with decoupling backend services and building enriched event streams for backend teams.
