Introduction: International Process Plants (IPP), the global leader in the supply of complete industrial plants, process systems and equipment, is seeking a detail-oriented project manager/estimator to support its plant and equipment dismantling, demolition, and relocation efforts. IPP operates exclusively in the process industries, including chemical, petrochemical, oil gas refining, pharmaceutical, bio-pharmaceutical agrichemical, fertilizer, paper, plastic, power generation, minerals, hydrometallurgical industries.
Role Description: Working under the Director of Global Projects and Director of Asset Management, the Project Manager will be the day-to-day face of the company in its relationship with site owners and IPP subcontractors. You will be responsible for initial on-site company presentations, job-walks, equipment evaluation, and estimate preparation. Once projects are awarded, you will be responsible for managing the safe and satisfactory execution.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Estimation and Acquisition - Travel to prospective job sites and perform equipment evaluations as well as demolition, scrap, abatement and rigging estimations. Collect information and present written reports. Author project proposals, work plans, safety plans and other documents.
Project Management/Execution - Oversee all deliverables as required by seller, buyer and IPP internal needs to manage and execute safe, complete, and timely projects. Create detailed project-specific work plans, safety plans and scopes of work.
Asset Management - You will be responsible for understanding and identifying IPP's process equipment and plants to make an accurate inventory of assets on a project site. This responsibility includes field identification, reading and collection of technical documentation.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills with a proven ability to communicate and negotiate effectively.
Technical/Industrial Background Preferred: A background with exposure in technical/industrial environments is preferred, with special attention paid to candidates with dismantling, rigging, demolition experience.
Intellectual Curiosity: An innate curiosity for "how things work" and a willingness to endeavor to find out are required.
Motivated and Flexible: Highly motivated, committed and flexible with the ability to adapt to changing business needs.
IT Proficiency: Strong skills in Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
Language: English fluency required.
Travel: Ability to travel up to 35% of the time on short duration trips, primarily within the US and Canada. Some short notice
