We are seeking a technically curious, hands-on Asset Management Specialist. The candidate will conduct equipment and plant inspections, manage equipment documentation, and support sales teams with technical knowledge. This role is ideal for a former Plant Maintenance or Operations Manager who understands process equipment, flow diagrams, and technical details and prefers a structured 9-to-5 role with some travel.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct on-site inspections at various plants (primarily in the U.S. with some international travel) to document equipment details, condition, and technical features.
Write detailed descriptions of equipment, photograph assets, and gather associated documentation such as drawings and specifications.
Collaborate with the Head of Asset Management and Head of Projects to ensure thorough data collection and accurate reporting.
Manage inventory systems, ensuring equipment data, photos, pricing, and project information are documented and up-to-date.
Assist sales teams by providing technical support, answering RFIs, and helping to evaluate equipment for potential sales.
Required Skills & Experience:
Strong understanding of process equipment and flow diagrams.
Familiarity with inventory management systems and equipment documentation processes.
Ability to work independently, with an inquisitive mindset and a knack for figuring things out.
Comfortable with travel and capable of balancing fieldwork with office-based tasks.
Proficiency in Windows and MS Office applications, particularly advanced Excel.
Strong time management skills and ability to work under deadlines.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a natural aptitude for technical sales support.
Travel: 20-25% domestic and international travel. Most trips are 1-3 days in duration.
