We are seeking a Software Procurement Manager to oversee software agreements, maintenance, and related services across the organization. This role requires a proactive approach to lead cross-functional teams in product and supplier selection, ensuring the best pricing, quality, and service while minimizing risks. You'll collaborate with internal stakeholders, draft and negotiate complex contracts, and provide ongoing management of supplier relationships to meet organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Work on a wide range of software procurement tasks, from Oracle renewals to sourcing finance software
Analyze various software cost models and options, providing strategic recommendations to internal stakeholders
Lead negotiations and manage contracts for large-scale, enterprise-level software purchase agreements
Work closely with business and technical teams to assess organizational needs and align procurement strategies
Lead cross-functional teams in developing key requirements to secure quality vendor responses
Research and identify reliable sources of supply
Use industry knowledge to craft effective supplier selection strategies through the management of RFP, RFQ, and RFI processes
Assess the financial health of potential suppliers to mitigate risks
Conduct in-depth business analyses with a focus on total cost of ownership
Continuously identify cost-saving opportunities and lead efforts to achieve those savings
Manage supplier performance, acting as the escalation point for non-performance issues
Develop and execute a strategic procurement plan based on business objectives, supply market trends, and competitive benchmarking
Oversee all phases of change management during procurement transitions
Facilitate technology adoption by managing stakeholder groups effectively
Required Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in software procurement, contract negotiation, and management
1-3 years of experience with electronic procurement and contract management solutions
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
Extensive knowledge of various software agreements (perpetual, term, subscription) and related services such as maintenance and support
Strong familiarity with IT and software procurement terminology
Experience working within large public companies (non-governmental)

$45 - $50 /hr
