Incumbent is responsible for defining and executing voluntary benefits growth strategy. Responsible for driving drive sales growth through building and maintaining producer and customer relationships, development and implementation of regional goals, professional development of the sales team and monitoring operational execution.  Collaborates with VP, Product Voluntary Benefits, Underwriting, Enrollment, and Operations to align on long term business outcomes that will focus on continuous growth and trajectory, while monitoring potential impacts to profit and growth. Partners with Distribution segment leads to achieve shared sales, enrollment and retention goals, evaluate those results against goals, while staying ahead of trends and taking proactive actions to steer business outcomes. Collaborate with internal business partners to ensure producer and customer needs are understood and satisfied and alignment with overall Group Insurance strategy.

The employee work arrangement for this position is hybrid, requiring a mix of on-site and remote work determined by your manager. If you do not live in a commutable distance to a Prudential office, this position will be virtual with occasional on-site requirements. Your manager will provide specifics on the number of on-site days.

What you can expect:


  • Recruit, hire, develop, and retain top regional sales talent who can build and promote a high performing Voluntary Benefits culture, working collaboratively with the Group Insurance Distribution Organization.

  • Partner with Distribution leadership to achieve shared sales and retention goals, evaluate those results against goals, while staying ahead of trends and taking proactive actions to steer business outcomes.

  • Work closely with our Strategic Distribution Partners and the Strategic Distribution Partner team to advance our position in the market and develop strategies and solutions grow our business.

  • Ensure Distribution employees have the right tools, resources, and support to grow Voluntary Benefits market share.

  • Collaborate with the P&L Head of Voluntary Benefits, Operations, and other partners to align on long-term business outcomes that will focus on continuous growth, while monitoring potential impacts to profit and loss.

  • Collaborate with internal business partners to ensure producer and customer needs are understood and satisfied while aligning with the overall Group Insurance strategy.

  • Champion continuous improvement to increase customer satisfaction for our Voluntary Benefits offering.

What you’ll need:


  • 10+ years of leadership experience in the Voluntary Benefits marketplace and executive leadership.

  • Ability to drive and deliver results in a shared goal organization.

  • Proven ability to create a positive work environment, with a focus on transparency, execution, and teamwork.

  • Exceptional communication, influencing, and partnership skills, delivering results through a cross-functional team and matrixed environment.

  • Forward thinking, profitable growth mindset leader.
