This position will develop and execute a strategic communications program that focuses on media relations and executive communications. The successful applicant will work closely with regional market and enterprise leaders to translate business strategies into content that informs, engages, and inspires their audience. This position will office in New York, NY and is required to be in the office 3 days a week. The Wells Fargo job profile is Lead Communications Consultant.
In this role, you will:
Serve as a trusted advisor and strategic counselor to regional market and enterprise leaders
Develop and implement communications plans focused on promoting the bank to local/regional media in New York, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, and Vermont
Write press releases, key messages, media statements, social media posts and talking points
Pitch and respond to reporters from regional print, newswire, radio and broadcast media outlets
Build relationships with members of local media throughout New York, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, and Vermont
Track results to ensure they are in line with intended outcomes and business objectives
Partner with other communicators to ensure alignment of communications strategies and messaging

Required Qualifications
5+ years of Public Relations, Media Relations or Corporate Communications experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications
Experience developing external communications plans for financial services clients
Experience working with reporters from regional media outlets
Experience prepping executives for media interviews or speaking engagements
Experience with issues management and crisis communications
Experience writing pitches, press releases, key messages, and media statements
Experience developing compelling content and leveraging media verticals for creative storytelling
