Sr. Production Supervisor




Nordson MCS Division, Dayton, OH




Job Description



Nordson MCS is seeking a strategic and results-oriented Sr. Production Supervisor to join our team in Dayton, OH. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electronics assembly and a proven track record of driving operational excellence and continuous improvement.



Responsibilities:




  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive production plans aligned with business objectives, ensuring efficient resource allocation and optimization of production processes.


  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement innovative strategies to enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality. Leverage lean manufacturing principles and data-driven analysis to drive continuous improvement initiatives.


  • Team Leadership: Foster a high-performance culture by motivating, coaching, and developing a talented team of manufacturing professionals. Provide clear direction, mentorship, and support to empower employees to achieve their full potential.


  • Performance Management: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress against goals. Conduct regular performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and address performance issues proactively.


  • Quality Assurance: Ensure adherence to stringent quality standards throughout the production process. Implement robust quality control measures and investigate non-conforming products to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.


  • Customer Focus: Collaborate with customers and other departments to understand their needs and expectations. Ensure that products meet customer specifications and are delivered on time and within budget.






Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field preferred.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 2 years of supervisory experience in electronics assembly.

  • Proven track record of driving operational excellence and achieving production goals.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with team members, customers, and stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire teams to achieve high levels of performance.

  • Experience with lean manufacturing principles and tools (e.g., value stream mapping, Kaizen).

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
