  • Pay: $21.41 - $22.79/hr
  • Shift Premium: Additional $0.75/hour shift premium

Role: Control Wiring

In this role, you will:

  • Read, understand, and interpret BOM, blueprints, drawings, schematics, and specifications
  • Perform mechanical assembly of control boxes
  • Wire control boxes, including relays, terminal boards, and electronic components
  • Verify and mount control boxes
  • Plan and install conduits
  • Install external wiring from control box terminals to CTs, fans, oil gauge alarms, lights, breakers, relays, and other auxiliary devices
  • Install external components, including surge arrestors, gauges, and grounding
  • Verify the operation of all controls using an ohmmeter, perform point-to-point wiring checks, and conduct function checks

Requirements:

Basic:

  • Ability to work within the WEG Code of Ethics & Values
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed
  • Ability to interpret complex drawings, schematics, and specifications, and use high school-level mathematics
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and comprehending common vocabulary
  • Ability to perform basic math calculations, including fractions, decimals, and percentages
  • Resides within a reasonable commuting distance of Washington, MO
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States on a permanent basis (visa sponsorship is not available for these positions).
  • Must complete a job interview, talent assessment, pre-employment drug screen, and background check.
  • Safety-sensitive position: Drug panel includes THC.

Preferred:

  • Prior experience in control wiring
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in electrical operations
