Job Description:
Gaven Industries, Inc.The Shipping/Receiving/Inventory Clerk works closely with the Operations and Purchasing teams to ensure items are received, picked, labeled to meet the production schedule. Troubleshoots issues regarding materials. Supports company safety policies and production procedures work instructions. Inspects incoming and manufactured products prior to entering information into company ERP system. Other tasks include cycle counting, unloading trucks, driving a company vehicle to pickup/drop off product.
Responsibilities
- Receive material and update MRP/ERP system.
- Pick required items (job specific) and deliver to manufacturing
- Request production materials for stock/orders
- Complete Material request forms daily/as needed
- Inventory cycle count
- Assists in expediting orders
- Loads and unloads vehicles
- Other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Basic computer skills including MS Outlook, beginner to intermediate MS Excel skills, and understanding of MRP/ERP systems
- Basic mathematical skills and ability to perform precise measurements using a tape measure.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to drive a forklift
Education/ Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1 or more years of experience in similar role
- Experience operating forklifts, and overhead cranes preferred
- Valid driver's license – some driving may be involved
