Title: AP Manager
Location: Nashville TN
Start Date: ASAP
Pay Rate: $32-43/hour, depending on experience and scope of management
Hours: 8am - 5pm | Monday - Friday
Type: Contract to Hire



REQUIREMENTS: AP MANAGER

* 5+ years of experience in accounts payable
* 2+ years of experience working in a lead or supervisory role
* Experience with Excel, Word, and Outlook
* Performance management



RESPONSIBILITIES: AP MANAGER

* Manages the accounts payable process including customer and vendor relations
* Manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs.
* Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets.
* Has full authority over personnel actions
* Manages all accounts payable functions and ensures accuracy and timeliness
* Develops, implements and maintains systems, procedures and policies within the accounts payable department, to ensure adherence to company guidelines
* Enters status change information to ensure employee information is accurate and up to date
* Provides accounts payable assistance to project managers and operations staff and responds to financial questions/concerns to meet business needs
* Selects and hires employees for the accounts payable department.
* Trains and evaluates employees to enhance their performance, development and work product
* Addresses performance issues and makes recommendations for personnel actions.
* Motivates and rewards employees including providing salary increases, bonuses and promotions within allocated budgets and company guidelines
* Responsible for managing the company accounts payable process and function in a professional and knowledgeable manner.
* This position directs and oversees the daily management of the accounts payable staff and processes associated with the payment of invoice; ensures the accuracy of the entire process as it relates to vendor payment, receiving, invoices and payment of invoices; and communicates with buyers.
* This position ensures company policies and procedures are being adhered to as they pertain to accounts payable.
