Corporate Paralegal (contract) at Beacon Hill Staffing Group, LLC in New York, New York

Job Description:

Beacon Hill Legal's client, a Real Estate Investment firm located in Midtown Manhattan, is seeking an experienced Commercial Real Estate Paralegal for a contract hybrid role lasting a minimum of 4-6 months, with the possibility of extending. The ideal candidate will have experience in maintaining and handling large corporate entities, performing KYC/AML reviews, and is proficient in drafting and redlining corporate documents. This position requires the person hired to commute onsite four times per week. Pay rate is dependent upon experience.


Responsibilities:

• Assist General Counsel in reviewing, researching, and implementing response to new legal and compliance requirements


• Coordinating legal entity maintenance (formation, dissolutions, LEI maintenance, state filings, beneficial ownership information reporting) and recordkeeping (tracking entity status, officers, org charts, and resolutions)


• Perform KYC/AML reviews


• Administer key elements of the compliance program related to fundraising and investment management (such as tracking certificated securities for custody purposes or engaging in review of marketing materials)


• Prepare and maintain minutes and memoranda documenting meetings and activities


• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word/PowerPoint/Excel skills)
