We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Material Handler to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently managing the movement, storage, and distribution of materials within our facility. Your keen attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a safe and organized work environment will be crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our supply chain processes.
Job Responsibilities:
Move inventory and materials across facilities
Process inventory for delivery
Sort, organize, label and store inventory in the proper locations
Crating and inventory of all out going products
Receive delivered items and ensure quality
Report damaged or missing inventory to supervisors
Stack and organize large bulk items
Update logs and documentation for inventory processing
Conduct cycle counts to maintain inventory levels
Move materials from facilities to workstations, pick-up locations, or other locations
Adhere to all safety standards
Operate heavy machinery like forklifts to move or store inventory
Ensure workspace is free of debris and remove safety hazards from aisles
Work as an active team member to complete team goals
Prepare documentation and inventory for audits
Work closely with Shop Supervisor, Project Manager, and Purchasing
Job Requirement:
High school degree or equivalent
Forklift experience
Valid driver’s license
Able to pass drug test/background check
Physically able to stand, sit, move, squat, walk, and climb during the course of the shift
Physically able to lift up to 50 pounds or more
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Able to work in a fast-paced environment
Familiarity with inventory software, and able to upload data into the company system
Able to work independently
Pays attention to detail and monitors the quality of inventory
Highly organized and able to store items efficiently
Ability to anticipate material needs throughout the workspace
Must follow all health and safety procedure and regulations as dictated by the organization and the state
Must have reliable transportation and be able to work a variable work schedule consisting of:
Five 8-hour days, (6:30am to 3:15pm) and
The following week we work four 10-hour shifts, (6:30am to 5:15pm) to have every other Friday off.
