RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client that is seeking an Oracle DBA in Merrimack, NH.

Summary:
We are seeking a database professional to manage large scale environments, supporting all environment builds, including design, capacity planning, cluster setup, performance tuning and ongoing monitoring. In this role, you are required to perform on and off premise (Cloud) database administration activities for both centralized and distributed databases.

Key Tasks:

• Oracle database build using ASM/NSF on RAC/Non-RAC


• Interact with application owners/developers and/or technical staff


• Work effectively with others in a team environment


• Carry work mobile and provide 24X7 Support, On Call Schedule participation

REQUIREMENTS:

• Shell scripting experience


• Good experience in Linux


• Expertise with centralized Oracle database administration


• Expertise in Oracle RAC, backup and recovery strategies


• Expertise in backup & recovery and migration using RMAN, Datapump, Snap and Clones


• Good Knowledge in OEM


• Working knowledge in Cloud Support


• Knowledge of Agile methodology


• Excellent written and verbal communication skills


• Must be organized, self-motivated and be able to participate in the knowledge transfer to other team members


• Must document all work in ticketing system and manage tickets in their queue


• Exadata, ZFS, CommVault, and open-source databases


• Ability to complete tasks and produce appropriate deliverables within project time schedules

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
