Job Description:

Job Summary

Develop, optimize, maintain, and preserve the electronic data residing in the Bureau/Department databases.
Ensure the efficient operation of the case management system and provide technology support to facilitate
effective communications between Bureaus/Departments. Optimize and manage office technology processes and train office staff in technology processes. Participate in the planning and implementation of policies and
procedures to ensure system provisioning and maintenance that is consistent with the goals of the Bureau/Department, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements. Consult other staff and leadership for more complex issues and challenges. Minimum Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science,
Information Technology Management, Software Engineering, or a directly related field and
• Two (2) years as a database administrator or technician or directly related experience or
• An equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

*Degrees awarded outside of the United States with the exception of those awarded in one of the United States' territories and Canada must be credentialed by an approved U.S. credential evaluation service belonging to the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES) or the Association of International Credential Evaluators (AICE). Original credentialing documents must be presented at time of interview.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND OTHER CHARACTERISTICS

• Knowledge of the operating systems in use, paging and swapping, inter-process communications, devices and
what device drivers do, and filesystem concepts.
• Knowledge of XML and XSLT, particularly JWxML (eDefender extensible Markup Language).
• Knowledge of Microsoft SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services) development tools, SSIS (SQL Server Integration
Services) development tools, and Adobe LiveCycle development tools for Acrobat.
• Ability to coordinate with Information Technology Help Desk and technical support staff.
• Ability to interpret defined policies and procedures and apply independent judgement to grant exceptions or
develop alternative solutions to standard challenges.
• Ability to collaborate with team members and entry-level management to support and organize initiatives or
projects.
• Skill in planning and developing methods and procedures that are often straightforward and may be
moderately complex, for the ongoing administration of an assigned area of responsibility.

Physical Requirements

Sedentary Work

Sedentary Work involves exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.
