Summary of job content:

The Project Manager is responsible for developing, administering, and implementing large capital investment projects at RGA. Responsible for assisting in the coordination and scheduling of engineering projects necessary to align overall operations activities with our business goals and objectives. You will be responsible for compiling and reviewing capital application documentation to ensure a sound business plan, NPV and payback calculations and frequently engage with the Global Engineering Manager. You will be a custodian in the engineering department and assist as a coach and mentor to younger project engineers although they will not directly report to you. The Project Manager reports directly to the Engineering Manager.

Key Accountabilities:

-Perform duties in accordance with "RGA Code of Conduct", applicable laws, regulations, and company regulations.

-Perform all duties in a professional, legal, and ethical manner representing Resonac Ridgeville facility.

-Actively promote safe work practices. Support safety and loss control policies, procedures, and objectives. Ensure projects are executed with focus on safety performance to prevent no lost time recordable incidents or property damage.

-Assist in the monitoring and analyze operational equipment and make recommendations as appropriate to help foster a safe and sustainable environment throughout the plant.

-Adhere to and support RGA's environmental management system. Provide professional support in fostering environmental awareness and responsible environmental behavior for active projects.

-Adhere to and support RGA's Quality management system.Provide support in fostering Quality awareness for responsible projects to adhere to quality and process guidelines as applicable.

-Assist in productivity improvements and cost reduction projects to support the company's business plans and goals.

-Develop and track the project budgets. Maintain expenditures within budget constraints.

-Implement actions to ensure capital projects come in on time and on budget and are closed appropriately in SAP.

-Conduct reviews of completed projects to measure effectiveness to gauge project success according to original scope.

-Maintain physical project areas for acceptable safety, environmental and housekeeping standards.

-Maintain open and effective lines of communication with Operations for planning and executing projects. Use MS projects and Triskell for planning and scheduling,

-Develop and continuously improve knowledge of the SAP system and capitalize on its potential as a business tool.

-Evaluate process upsets and emergencies and make recommendations consistent with minimizing production loss.

-Assist in the planning and implementing programs, procedures and techniques to continuously improve our production capacity and capability strategy.

-Participate as needed in cross functional investigation of incidents occurring in the plant to assist in the development of measures to avoid further occurrences.

Experiences:

B/S Electrical or Mechanical Engineering

Min 7 years' experience.

Project Engineer in a heavy industrial environment,

PE Certification will be an advantage

PMP Certification will be an advantage
