The Buyer reports to the Procurement Manager with the responsibility for sourcing requirements and managing the purchase order process in addition to other general purchasing and administrative tasks.
Key Accountabilities:
-Manage purchasing data in SAP S4/HANA platform.
-Correspond with suppliers to expedite and follow-up on assigned purchase orders to ensure on-time deliveries.
-Review requisitions for sourcing, obtains bids, and places purchase orders as directed by the -Purchasing Manager.
-Resolve invoice issues to include price adjustments, requests for credit, etc. by working with -Accounts Payable and/or vendor.
-Maintain electronic files and other documents associated with the Purchasing Department.
-Represent Resonac Graphite America Inc. in a professional manner in all communication and contacts with outside vendors and the public.
-Perform duties in accordance with the RDG Code of Conduct, applicable laws, regulations, and company regulations relative to the duties of the position.
-Conduct all responsibilities in a safe manner to affect no lost time or recordable injuries and no property damage.
-Perform all duties in accordance with the Quality and Environmental policies and procedures.
Experiences:
Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field preferred.
3-5+ years in Purchasing or similar supply chain role.
