The Role

We are seeking a full-time Product Development Scientist - Radiochemistry based in Oak Ridge, TN with a background in Radiochemistry, Chemical Engineering and/or Nuclear Engineering. As a key member of our team, you will lead and execute research and development for the foundational components of our innovative power sources. Your responsibilities include transferring technology from the lab bench to production, designing manufacturing processes adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and driving the growth of our lab facilities. You will be the owner of experimentation planning and execution as well as chemistry documentation. Must be comfortable working in a radiological laboratory environment, including glove box experience. Excellent organizational and communication skills are a must. The position is open to the right candidate with the appropriate level of experience and offers substantial growth potential within the startup organization.

The position is required to be in person 4/week at our Radiation Laboratory in Oak Ridge, Tennessee and must be a US Citizen.

Qualifications
  • Laboratory Skills, GMP, and Technology Transfer
  • Experience in Radiochemistry and Nuclear Engineering
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, or a related field, PhD preferred
  • Experience working with radioisotopes and high radioactivity materials is a plus
