Marketing Coordinator 

Department: Marketing 

Classification: Key 

Exemption Status: Non-exempt 

Reports To: Marketing Manager 

Pay Grade: TBD 

Location:  All GLC Properties 

Position Summary — The Marketing Coordinator aids in developing, coordinating, and executing marketing campaigns to create a fun atmosphere for guests and employees.  

Essential Functions — An individual in this role must be able to perform the following functions with or without reasonable accommodation. 


  • Maintains high standards of service and practices with the department.  


  • Addresses IT concerns, system needs, personnel resources, and upgrade requirements routinely.  


  • Tele-markets to active and inactive un-hosted Casino customers.  


  • Serves as a liaison for Casino guests who meet a certain criterion. Services include Food and Beverage and additional room night comping discretion.  


  • Inputs into and executes strategic planning for assigned department(s) consistent with the department’s strategic goal.  


  • Provides input and direction in the development, implementation, and measurement of guest service to standards within assigned department(s), consistent with the company’s core service standards and brand attributes. 


  • Works hand in hand with the Marketing department in implementing marketing strategies to produce both short term and long-term profitability.  


  • Participates in evaluation and implementation of new products, services, technology, and processes to ensure GLC’s competitive position in anticipation of changing customers needs with the dynamic hospitality/gaming environment. 


  • Aids in developing photo and video content to help guests and employees understand the marketing plan.  


  • Responsible for keeping a consistent brand standard for signage across the property.  


  • Ensure the quality of marketing advertisement is in the Casino’s tone and style for guests and employees.  


  • Completes required paperwork and performs audits in a precise, efficient, and timely manner.  


  • Has genuine attentiveness and positive energy to Grand Lake Casino’s purpose while inspiring others.  


  • Supports the company culture of a fun experience for guests and employees.  


  • Conduct research of market trends, guests behavior, and competitor landscape, and prepare report. 


  • Supports Marketing department in coordinating and executing GLC’s events and promotions 


  • Plan, develop, and produce social content for a varied audience. 


  • Publishes and schedules social content through social media management tools.  

Qualifications   


  • High school diploma or G.E.D., customer service experience, and at least 6 months of marketing experience required. Microsoft Office Suite knowledge required. 


  • SCA and Oasis experience preferred. 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities  


  • Ability to multitask and work as part of the team and to promote a cooperative approach between departments. 


  • Skilled in the use of Microsoft Suite  and Adobe.   


  • Ability to maintain composure during possible high stress situations. 


  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 


  • Skilled in problem solving and critical thinking.  


  • Knowledge of Aristocrat comping system. 


  • Ability to perform job duties in full compliance with departmental internal controls, policies, procedures, and regulations. 

Other Requirements — Required to obtain and maintain a Seneca Cayuga tribal gaming license and a state issued I.D. All applicants must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening prior to beginning employment. Must be at least 18 years of age per gaming regulations. 

Physical Requirements — Position may require walking or standing for entire shifts. Must possess the ability to twist, stoop, bend, use extensive and repetitive hand movements, the ability to lift up to 35 lbs., and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. 

Work Environment — Grand Lake Casino is a drug and alcohol-free workplace; Must be able to work in a casino environment which includes high levels of smoke, dust, noise, and bright flashing lights. 

Special Working Conditions — Position requires good memory, organization, and focus.
