Job Description:

Responsible for demand planning, forecast integration and providing input to plant scheduling. Utilize best practices for planning to deliver low cost, quality, and fresh products to our customers. Perform all jobs safely, efficiently and accurately to maintain and improve the performance of the entire plant in the areas of Safety, Quality, Reliability (SQR) and our Customer 1st strategy. • Bachelor's degree in business management or a related field, or equivalent work experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Business Objects
• Strong knowledge of food manufacturing
• Excellent oral/written communication skills
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
• Excellent planning and organizing skills
• Ability to make decisions and implement changes
• Must be skilled in diplomacy and able to influence effectively
• 4 years Planning/Buying/Forecasting and plant or division management experience. Manage 1-2 plants, 200-350 SKUs and 5-10 production lines
• APICS certified

• Oracle or SAP planning experience
• Previously developed and executed plant planning strategies
• Process management or Quality Improvement Process skills

• Create inventory build plans to meet seasonal demand
• Create plans to achieve targeted inventory and schedule compliance
• Effectively and efficiently manage the supply chain for Kroger
• Utilize current and future technology and processes to continually improve planning skills
• Lead cross-functional efforts to validate data, refine information, identify risk factors and build contingency plans to optimize outcomes
• Leverage aggregated enterprise volumes and supplier relationships across businesses
• Implement the lowest total cost of ownership for each production line and supply chain segment by optimizing the planning cycle
• Collaborate closely with the plants staff and internal teams (Sourcing, Corporate Food Technology and the Lead Team) to identify and align with their expectations
• Establish plant, and specific production line priorities based on benefits and opportunities and track performance metrics
• Follow established programs, policies and practices to produce safe, quality foods that meet regulatory and company requirements
• Support the development, implementation, maintenance, and ongoing improvement of the SQF Systems
• Accountable to the Kroger Manufacturing Food Safety and Quality Principles
