Job Description:

Job Summary


The Supply Chain Manager is is responsible for developing strategy, plans, implements, and manages material sourcing.


Material, Vendors, and Logistics



  • Plan and execute supply of raw material, fasteners, components, and fabrication services to meet business requirements

  • Perform cost analysis and create reports to compare and contrast competitive supplier costs

  • Interface with Sales and Project Management teams to forecast material requirements. Present and maintain forecast with external suppliers

  • Establish and maintain inventory of raw material and/or finished goods for commercial order demand

  • Interface with Kloeckner corporate supply chain and operations leadership as needed to meet vertically integrated supply objectives

  • Work with Executive Leadership team to evaluate and secure material and fabrication vendors

  • Work with Project Management (internal) and suppliers (external) to adjust production locations, rates, shipment schedules as needed to meet dynamic project requirements

  • Work with logistics team to collaborate on large project schedules in order to meet contractual delivery requirements.

  • Work with Quality manager to submit supplier CARs and drive to close. Assist Quality manager with responses to customer CARs


Management



  • Role may be individual contribution at start

  • Work with Executive Team to strategize on and build materials team commensurate with task requirements and business growth

  • Hire, train, manage, and retain subordinates to ensure all objectives and deliverables are met on time 


Qualifications



  • Rapid analysis of information, decisiveness, and thoroughness in documentation sufficient to make and defend decisions

  • Proficient with standard suite of MS Office applications, knowledge of ERP systems and adaptable to current and future solutions


  • Bachelor’s Degree in business or technical discipline (preferred)




  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in business operations




  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience developing and managing supply chains, preferably in the fabricated steel industry




  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form 




Compensation


$120,000 - $180,000 annually
