This role reports into the Head of Ultrasound. In this strategic leadership role, The Global Head of Strategy, Partnerships, & Transformation will be responsible for developing and executing the company's global strategic vision, leading partnerships, merger and acquisition (M&A) initiatives and driving organizational transformation to support sustainable growth. This role requires a visionary leader with deep industry expertise in medical imaging, particularly ultrasound technology, and a proven track record of successful strategy development, M&A, and organizational change management. The position will be based in Issaquah, WA or Palo Alto, CA



Your role:


• Develop and articulate the company's global strategic vision, ensuring alignment with the overall business objectives and market trends.


• Lead the strategic planning process, including the development of long-term goals, key performance indicators (KPIs), and growth initiatives.


• Collaborate with senior leadership to identify and capitalize on emerging global market opportunities, competitive advantages, and industry innovations.


• Identify and evaluate potential M&A opportunities that align with the company's strategic goals, including market expansion, technology acquisition, and product portfolio enhancement.


• Lead the end-to-end M&A process, including due diligence, valuation, negotiation, and integration.


Develop and sustain strategic relationships and partnerships that align with the company's objectives, identifying and pursuing external opportunities to drive business growth and innovation.


• Negotiate and structure partnerships to create new revenue opportunities.


• Oversee the execution and management of partnership agreements, ensuring that all initiatives are running smoothly and delivering expected outcomes.


• Report on the progress of key partnerships to senior leadership, providing data-driven insights on the impact of collaborations on growth and innovation.


• Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of acquired businesses, technologies, and talent into the existing organizational structure.


• Drive organizational transformation initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, agility, and innovation.


• Lead change management efforts to align the organization with strategic priorities, ensuring buy-in from stakeholders at all levels.


• Foster a culture of continuous improvement, leveraging data and analytics to inform decision-making and optimize business processes.


• Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing strategy team, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful execution of strategic initiatives.


• Collaborate with regional and functional leaders to ensure strategic alignment and drive cross-functional synergies.


• Serve as a key advisor to the executive leadership team, providing strategic insights and recommendations to support informed decision-making.


• Act as the Chief of Staff to the Head of Ultrasound business.


• Assess the talent within the organization and attract/develop/retain/lead a high-performing team.

Your expertise:


• Expertise in the technical aspects of ultrasound technology, including product development, innovation trends, and regulatory requirements.


• Familiarity with the competitive landscape and key players in the ultrasound and broader medical imaging markets.


• Understanding of the dynamics and challenges of the medical device market, such as reimbursement strategies, clinical trials, and FDA/EU MDR regulations.


• Ability to develop a long-term strategic vision that aligns with the company's mission and market opportunities.


• Proven experience in global markets or managing partnerships across multiple regions, understanding the regulatory and operational complexities of international healthcare systems.


• Strong understanding of sales pipelines and revenue generation models through partnerships, with experience in developing contracts that deliver financial value and long-term growth for the organization.


• Experience in setting and achieving ambitious goals that drive business growth and competitive advantage.


• Proven track record in identifying, evaluating, and executing M&A transactions, including target identification, due diligence, valuation, and negotiation.


• Experience in managing cross-border M&A transactions, particularly in the medical device or healthcare sectors.


• Expertise in change management methodologies, with the ability to drive adoption and buy-in across all levels of the organization.


• Strong understanding of operational efficiency and continuous improvement practices, particularly in the context of a global organization.


• Ability to articulate complex strategies in a clear and compelling manner to diverse audiences.


• Experience in navigating and leveraging opportunities in global markets, with an understanding of regional differences in healthcare systems, regulations, and market dynamics.


• Ability to develop strategies that are globally scalable while being locally relevant.



Required skills to have for the success in this role:



• Minimum of 10 years of experience in strategy development, M&A, and organizational transformation within the medical imaging or healthcare technology industry, with a focus on ultrasound technology preferred.


• Demonstrated success in leading global strategic initiatives and driving significant business growth.


• Strong financial acumen and experience in complex financial modeling, valuation, and due diligence.


• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.


• Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and inspire at all levels of the organization.


• Demonstrated ability of building and leading results-focused, high-performance teams. Ability to recruit and motivate best-in-class talent as the industry evolves.


  • Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, or a related field; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.

  • Prior experience with top tier management/strategy consulting firm (McKinsey, BCG, BAIN) preferred.

  • The ability to travel 30-50% of the time and globally required.

  • Ability to work from either our Issaquah WA, or Palo Alto, CA location.

The pay range for this position is $250,000-300,000 U.S. dollars annually; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, as well as where the work will be performed. Siemens Healthineers offers a variety of health and wellness benefits including paid time off and holiday pay.
