Overview: The Senior Communications Technology Consultant will collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, general contractors, and IT/low voltage industry partners to plan, develop, execute, and deliver IT/low voltage technologies as part of larger construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Demonstrate expert knowledge of the latest technology systems in various building types, including data centers, healthcare, workplace, hospitality, retail, and mixed-use.
Maintain over 80% billable hours monthly.
Guide clients, partner teams, subconsultants, and team members on technology decisions in large, complex, multi-phased, and multi-year projects.
Develop project pursuit scope, initial resource allocation, and coordinate efforts with internal partners and sectors.
Negotiate contracts with clients, supported by executive and senior leadership.
Determine and document project scope, budget, and schedule with clients.
Set and achieve quarterly and annual revenue goals.
Provide and document technical analysis of technology systems to drive well-engineered solutions.
Lead, schedule, and document meetings, including preparing agendas and minutes.
Develop and maintain master project plans, including budgets and schedules.
Coordinate project team workload throughout the project lifecycle.
Assign and assist project team members with tasks, action items, and deliverable production.
Ensure project deliverables are completed on budget and on schedule.
Maintain accurate records by distributing and filing documentation.
Assist in selecting and overseeing subconsultants and construction teams as necessary.
Lead QA/QC efforts for project documentation, including technical analysis and quality assurance measures.
Coordinate work of internal and external multidisciplinary teams throughout project development.
Participate in reviews with governing agencies for code compliance.
Conduct schematic, design development, and contract document work sessions virtually and on-site with all disciplines.
Stay updated on industry news and changes in the healthcare industry and share information with peers.
Represent the firm at external industry events, conferences, project interviews, and business development activities.
Assist in project pursuits, client engagements, and partnering business opportunities as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Collaborate on responses to RFQs and RFPs, including building fee schedules and documenting project approach methods.
Perform other tasks as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Licensure, Training & Travel Requirements:
Bachelor of Science in an engineering discipline, construction management, architecture, or equivalent related work experience.
BICSI-RCDD or RCDD-TPM certification.
10-12 years of experience as a project manager.
Minimum 8 years of experience in the design and/or construction of healthcare, mission-critical, government, research, or other large, complex building types.
Familiarity with design and construction guidelines, standards, and codes.
Strong knowledge of pre-design and pre-construction, building systems/components and technology, contract management, project delivery methods, team building, and client relationship building.
Preferred certifications: Certified Construction Manager (CCM), CM-Lean, DBIA Professional, Professional Engineer (PE) or Architect license/certification, or PMP.
Practical knowledge of applicable codes and standards such as CBC/IBC, NEC, AIA FDG, BICSI, AVIXA, ASIS, HIMSS, ASHE, and others.
Preferred certifications: AVIXA CTS-D, ASIS CPP/PSP, CPHIMSS, or other related industry licenses or certifications.
20% travel expected.
Ability to multi-task, manage competing priorities, and communicate effectively in written and verbal form.

Work Conditions:
Overtime and weekends may be required to meet project deadlines.
Physically able to participate in training sessions, presentations, and meetings.
Frequent travel required for meetings with clients and team members.
