Purpose and Scope of Job:
Completes a variety of procurement and materials management tasks, directly or by assisting the Strategic Procurement Manager, Specialist or Technical Buyer.

Essential Functions (other duties may be assigned):
Issues purchase orders and makes necessary updates as needed.
Responds to requests from end users to expedite delivery dates with vendors, negotiates expediting fees and communicates delays or production prioritization to team members.
Contacts vendors to confirm/update delivery times.
Generates and distributes reports required for purchase order follow-up and vendor performance.
Assists Strategic Sourcing Specialists on Purchase Requests, by searching for and identifying suitable vendors.
Minimum Qualifications:
Associates degree in business discipline or equivalent experience required.
Strong skills in the Microsoft Office Suite program, particularly with Excel, and excellent keyboarding skills required.
Three (3) years prior experience in an environment interacting with vendors or customers necessary, with an understanding of supply chain management principles preferred.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet strict deadlines.
Excellent organizational skills required.
Strong written and verbal communication skills necessary.
