Our physicians are nationally known, and we continue to be on the leading edge of retina care by utilizing the latest equipment and both participating in and designing new clinical trials to advance the state of care for retinal diseases. Join our team members working for our nationally recognized retina specialty practice in a fast paced, high volume ambulatory surgery center.This is a per diem position for a pre-op/post-op/OR RN working in an ambulatory surgery center for ophthalmology in Sacramento, CA. Expected availability commitment of at least 1 day per week

Responsibilities:
Assess, instruct and prepare patients prior to surgeryTake and record vital signsInitiate IV and ensure patients are informed about their procedureAssess patients post-operative status by monitoring vital signs and utilizing the Aldrete scorePrepare patients for discharge in a timely and thorough manner to maintain patient flowMust be able to multitask and work in a fast paced environmentKnowledge of sterile technique preferred but not requiredNo weekend/holidays
