Accountabilities:

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand key business objectives and transform them into scoped business changes, including defining the minimal viable product (MVP).


• Establish a requirements management strategy, including processes for elicitation, documentation standards, tools, meeting cadence, backlog grooming, review & approval, change, and communications.


• Elicit and document business requirements in the form of vision statements, visual models/process flows, business objectives, goals, and success criteria.


• Elicit functional and non-functional requirements and document them as epics, stories, wireframes, business rules, and acceptance criteria.


• Determine data needs for predictive analysis and other AI functions.


• Analyze data to inform decision-making and interpret statistical analysis from AI functions.


• Act as an AI and technical translator to facilitate communication between data scientists, developers, and business stakeholders.


• Build, organize, prioritize, and maintain the project backlog, partnering with the Business Lead/Product Owner.


• Facilitate backlog grooming, supporting the Business Lead/Product Owner in defining value, priority, and scope for upcoming releases and sprints.


• Collaborate with Product Owner, Business Users, and Technical Team to write and elaborate user stories, including acceptance criteria and business rules.


• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies such as stand-ups, demos, and sprint retrospectives.


• Facilitate the review of stories during sprint planning to ensure a common understanding of user stories and acceptance criteria.


• Analyze new requests from stakeholders to determine if they are defects, new stories, modifications to existing stories, or already covered. Update the backlog and stories as appropriate.


• Maintain an overall view of the project, understanding how parts fit together to provide the overall solution.


• Perform functional testing during development sprints and review testing issues to determine if they are bugs or expected behavior.


• Write user acceptance test (UAT) scripts and facilitate UAT.


• Measure and track key performance indicators to drive continuous improvement.

Competencies and Qualifications:

• Experience in the C&I utility industry is a plus.


• Familiarity with C&I energy deal pricing is a plus.


• Experience with Digital teams on AI initiatives is a plus.


• Bachelor's degree or 5+ years' experience as a Business Analyst.


• 2-3 years' experience in Agile/Scrum, supporting Agile efforts.


• Experience with Agile management tools (e.g., ADO, Jira) is a plus.


• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with diverse groups, executives, managers, and subject matter experts.


• Proficiency in various business analysis techniques, including data modeling, feature decomposition, context diagrams, stakeholder analysis, state diagrams, wireframes, functional and non-functional requirements, use cases, business process definition, user stories, and backlog management.


• Scrum Master or Product Owner certification is a plus.


• IIBA or CBAP Business Analyst certification is a plus.
