Position DescriptionLaunch Industries, LLC is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Bookkeeper and Small Business Financial Advisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have the technical expertise required for bookkeeping and a passion for educating and empowering clients. As a Bookkeeper at Launch Industries, you will play a critical role in managing the financial health of our clientssmall businesses, non-profits, and other organizationswhile helping them understand and navigate their financial landscapes. Your work will directly support our mission to create sustainable and joyful workplaces.DisqualifiersLack of relevant bookkeeping experience (minimum 3-5 years required).Inability to communicate complex financial concepts in a clear and accessible manner.Lack of a client-focused approach or unwillingness to educate clients.Inadequate attention to detail or accuracy in managing financial records.Insufficient knowledge of QuickBooks OnlineJob ResponsibilitiesFull-Cycle Bookkeeping: Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, cash flow, payroll processing, and month-end closings.Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze detailed financial statements, balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports.Client Education: Provide ongoing education and support to clients, helping them understand financial reports and best practices for financial management.Compliance: Ensure financial records comply with federal, state, and local legal requirements by staying updated on legislation and advising management.Tax Preparation: Collaborate with tax preparers to assist clients with tax planning and preparation.Software Proficiency: Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks Online, Xero, or other platforms to maintain accurate financial records.Financial Modeling: Must be able to assist clients with pro formas - P&L, cash flow forecasting, etc.Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their unique needs and providing personalized financial consultation and advice.Required Knowledge and SkillsEducation: Associate or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of bookkeeping and/or Controller experience, preferably working with businesses across diverse sectors.Certifications: Certified Bookkeeper (CB) or similar credentials are preferred.Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks Online, Xero, etc.), Microsoft Excel, and other relevant tools.Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial concepts in a clear and accessible manner.Client-Focused Approach: Strong interpersonal skills with a commitment to client education and personalized service.Attention to Detail: High degree of accuracy and attention to detail in managing financial records.Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve financial discrepancies efficiently.Preferred QualificationsCertifications: Quickbooks Certified ProAdvisor (Online), Quickbooks Certified ProAdvisor (Advanced Online), Gusto Advisor, Certified Bookkeeper (CB), or other relevant credentials.Experience with Small Businesses: Prior experience working with small or medium-sized businesses, non-profits, or membership-based organizations.Mission-Driven Work: Passion for working in a mission-driven environment focused on cultivating connection, ease, and joy within organizations.Commitment to Learning: Interest in continuous learning and professional growth within the field of bookkeeping and client education.Schedule and Work Hours Flexibility: Enjoy a flexible work environment with opportunities for remote work.
