JOB SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE:

The Research Analyst is essential in conducting and analyzing research to support evidence-based practices and drive innovations to provide actionable insights supporting decision-making and strategic planning within the healthcare organization. This role involves collecting and interpreting data, evaluating healthcare programs, and producing reports that guide policy and operational improvements. With a focus on rigorous analysis and data-driven insights, the Research Analyst contributes significantly to Choctaw Premier Services success by enhancing research capabilities and supporting high-quality healthcare initiatives.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop research plans and methodologies addressing specific healthcare questions and objectives.
  • Conduct quantitative and qualitative research, including surveys, interviews, and data analysis.
  • Collect data from various sources such as electronic health records (EHRs), healthcare databases, and published studies.
  • Analyze healthcare data to identify trends, patterns, and correlations using statistical techniques and software.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations that summarize research findings, methodologies, and recommendations.
  • Create data visualizations and dashboards to communicate insights clearly and effectively to stakeholders.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of healthcare programs, interventions, and policies through data analysis and research.
  • Provide recommendations for improving healthcare services, programs, and policies based on research findings.
  • Conduct reviews of existing literature and research studies to support new research projects and contextualize findings.
  • Work with healthcare professionals, researchers, and other stakeholders to understand research needs and provide data-driven insights.
  • Collaborate with project teams to integrate research findings into strategic planning and decision-making processes.
  • Ensure that research activities comply with ethical standards and relevant regulations (e.g., HIPAA, IRB guidelines).

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong knowledge of research methodologies, specific to healthcare research, for both qualitative and quantitative compilation.
  • Ability to analyze complex data sets and derive meaningful insights to assist in decision-making.
  • Experience with data analysis tools and research software, as well as familiarity with healthcare databases.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for preparing reports, presenting findings, and engaging with stakeholders.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail in research and data analysis.
  • Ability to address research questions and develop effective solutions based on data and evidence.
  • Ability to manage multiple research projects and tasks simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
  • Demonstrated curiosity and a proactive approach to exploring and addressing healthcare research questions.
  • Commitment to maintaining research integrity and adhering to ethical guidelines.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders to achieve research objectives.

REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in public health, healthcare administration, data science, or related field.
  • Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in healthcare research, data analysis, or related field.
  • Proficiency with statistical analysis software (e.g., SAS, SPSS, R) and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).

PREFERRED:

  • Master’s degree in public health, healthcare administration, or related field.
  • Certification in healthcare research or data analysis (e.g., Certified Health Data Analyst (CHDA), Certified Analytics Professional (CAP)).
  • Familiarity with specific healthcare systems, policies, or programs relevant to the role (e.g., value-based care, chronic disease management).
  • Experience with advanced statistical methods or machine learning techniques relevant to the role.
