Summary: Performs simple and complex laboratory test procedures in the Clinical Laboratories. Routine laboratory testing will be in the Microbiology and Molecular Virology laboratory and may include cross-training in another laboratory section. Routine job functions include specimen acceptance, accessioning, processing, performance of testing and quality control procedures, the use of various laboratory testing systems and information systems for result generation, reporting, and documentation.


Base salary range for this position is $64,772 - $74,135 annually which includes a comprehensive benefits package. This position also includes a geographic differential of $4.60 hourly for a total compensation range of $74,366 - $83,729 annually.




Qualifications:Required Education and Experience


1. Possession of a full license to practice as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist in the State of New York; or
2. Bachelor's degree in Clinical Laboratory Technology or a related health care discipline and eligibility for full licensure as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist in the State of New York.


NOTE:
Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.



Preferred Qualifications:



The preferred candidate will have experience with PCR based testing platforms (oncology, virology), experience in Chemistry, Hematology, Transfusion, Microbiology or other specific laboratory disciplines. In addition they will have experience in an oncology setting, prior customer service experience and other relevant experience applicable to laboratory operations.
