Overview
The Admissions Pathways Program Administrator is responsible for supporting the development and delivery of successful programming and reporting data for the admissions department recruitment activities, primarily supporting pathway projects that increase opportunities for students who are historically underrepresented in race and ethnicity (HURE) to pursue careers in dentistry. The Admissions Pathways Program Administrator will build and maintain trusted relationships with community members, other departments and divisions across OHSU, parents of pathway and prospective students, the students, faculty, and staff.
Responsibilities
Bachelor's degree and two years of experience leading projects OR-
Associates degree and three years of experience leading projects -OR-
An equivalent combination of training and experience
3 years of experience working in an administrative support role supporting a team
Work experience and enthusiasm for working with high school, college and health professions students, and healthcare professionals
Demonstrated record of reliable attention to detail in assignments, punctuality and proven successful job performance;
Expert-level organizational skills;
Experience in general administrative responsibilities such as calendaring, processing, reimbursements, ordering, and travel arrangements;
Ability to schedule, coordinate, and manage large scale events;
Experience with database management and reporting;
Demonstrated exemplary confidentiality and diplomacy;
Demonstrated record of exemplary customer service experience;
Excellent communication skills; ability to communicate effectively written, verbally, and in person;
Ability to work independently and collaboratively, juggling multiple tasks, and meeting deadlines;
Experience with information tracking systems (i.e. Banner);
Proficient in MS Office Suite
Familiarity with event and education programming with strong organizational and scheduling skills
Maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality
Ability to work in an environment committed to diversity, inclusivity, and accessibility
Ability to work independently, juggling multiple tasks, and meeting deadlines
Ability to travel from one work location to another
Ability to work evenings and weekends and manage a flexible schedule within a typical 40-hour workweek
Qualifications
Experience with academic health centers or corporations for a minimum of 4 years
Experience in health professions student recruitment
Experiences with additional philanthropic or volunteer organizations and events
Ability to collaboratively develop and sustain community relationships
Previous work commitment in support of diversity, inclusivity, including HURE diversity, and accessibility
