The Executive Assistant and Project Manager will coordinate and manage multiple strategic projects to advance the mission of the School of Social Work. Projects require a high level of attention to detail, strong analytical skills, excellent communication skills, and the ability to initiate, adapt, and follow through with appropriate stakeholders. This position will provide a high-level of strategic, confidential, and administrative support to the Dean. To ensure the smooth operation of the Dean’s office, knowledge of University policies and procedures is required. The incumbent must keep the Dean aware of current/sensitive issues and deadlines. The successful candidate will have excellent judgment and will make independent evaluations regarding the Dean’s commitments.
The School offers two bachelor degree programs, in Child, Youth, and Family Studies and in Social Work. The School also offers two graduate degree programs, the Master of Social Work (campus, distance, and online options) and Ph.D. in Social Work and Social Research. The BSW and MSW degree programs are fully accredited by the Council on Social Work Education. Approximately 33 full-time and 55 part-time faculty provide instruction for our campus, distance, and online options. Our undergraduate enrollment is approximately 350, and graduate enrollment is 600+ students.
Minimum Qualifications
BA/BS degree required
At least 4 years professional related experience, including successful supervision of support staff.
Demonstrated success with policy/project management.
Ability to work with a high degree of autonomy and initiative.
Possesses strong analytical and problem solving skills.
High attention to detail; adapts well to changing priorities.
Ability to research, compile and analyze data for projects/proposals as needed.
Outstanding organizational skills.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
