The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering invites applications for two or more faculty positions at the assistant professor level to begin in the fall semester of 2025. Higher ranks may also be considered for exceptional candidates having outstanding track records in federal funding records, scholarly productivity, and exemplary teaching. Applicants for the position are required to have an earned Ph.D. degree in electrical or computer engineering or a closely related discipline at the time of appointment.

Successful candidates must have the knowledge and background to teach effectively at the graduate and undergraduate level courses in electrical and computer engineering, and a sustained record of research and scholarship in a field relevant to electrical and computer engineering.

The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering has 750 undergraduate students, 110 graduate students, 24 faculty, and 7 staff members, with aggressive goals for growth in coming years. The Department has active research programs in image and signal processing, remote sensing, robotics, healthcare and biomedical devices, communications and sensor networks, electric energy systems, photonics and electrophysics.
