Description:



Coordinate project teams of 1-5 members, overseeing planning, scheduling, and control of project and program activities. Serve as a specialist for specific projects, possessing detailed knowledge of all project aspects. Stay updated on new developments and technology. Monitor projects and recommend changes to enhance operating efficiency. Develop budgetary estimates.

• PMP Certification (desired but not required)


• Construction Management Certification (desired but not required)

Principal Accountabilities:

• Manage small projects for refueling outages, forced outages, and on-line maintenance, ensuring safe, quality, on-schedule, and within-budget execution.


• Oversee all aspects of project implementation, including budget, work package preparation, parts procurement, ALARA planning, industrial and nuclear safety, work prioritization, resource loading, and work execution.


• Develop budgets and track costs versus budget for assigned projects.


• Maintain frequent interface with clients, engineers, related parties, and management to ensure proper progress and focus.


• Develop and manage contracts and interface with vendors.


• Prepare and deliver written and oral communications to various groups, including senior management.


• Develop and maintain long-range plan strategies for assigned projects.


• Support effective implementation of the Columbia Generating Station Self-Assessment and Corrective Action Program.


• Provide outage support, including OCC.

Required Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, project management, business, or related field from an accredited college or university AND one year of experience in a technical field OR Associate's degree in engineering, construction management, project management, business, or related technical curriculum from an accredited college or university AND three years' experience in a technical field OR High School Diploma/GED AND five years' experience in a technical field

• Construction Management Certification

Required Abilities and Skills:

• Basic project management techniques


• Core values related to human performance and cost-effective work execution


• Basic proficiency with computer software tools (MS Office)

Desired Abilities and Skills:

• Familiarity with error reduction and human performance improvement methods


• Knowledge of cost-effective work execution methodologies


• Experience managing projects, on-line work management, refueling and forced outage management activities, engineering, or standard project management techniques
