Our Consumer Loan Underwriting Team is Hiring!

Business Hours: (Must have availability to work within the hours listed)

Monday-Wednesday 8-5pm, Thursday & Friday 8-6pm, Saturday 9-1pm. If an employee is scheduled for a Saturday, a half or full day will be given during the week to meet the 40 hour work week schedule.

Eligible for hybrid schedule after training period, typically 3-4 months, up to 2 days work from home, upon management approval.

Starting pay for this position is $24-26/hr based on experience. Eligible for pay increase once lending limits are in place, within 6 months of employment.

The primary focus of the Credit Consultant is to interview loan applicants to inform members of current rates, policy requirements, and the lending services offered by the credit union. Receives and underwrites loan applications. Reviews, evaluates, and renders decisions on loans within the lending guidelines. Cross-sells all credit union services to qualified members whenever possible. Seeks to attain established goals on key products as assigned on a monthly basis. Ensures that applications are complete and that a decision is rendered within 10- 15 minutes of application. Ensures that all loan applications are thoroughly reviewed, including credit bureau reports, with the intent of maximizing approval options, including cross-sell opportunities. Communicate decision to branch personnel or member. Opens and closes all types of accounts; accepts applications for membership and ensures that each card reflects the proper signatures.

Candidates should have a high school diploma/GED equivalent or higher with a minimum of 1-year financial experience. Prior experience with credit analysis, is preferred. Ability to achieve sales goals, strong attention to detail and computer proficiency to multitask within a busy call center environment.
