Environmental Programs Coordinator
Applications are now being accepted for an Environmental Programs Coordinator at Ada County Highway
District in the Boise, Idaho area. This is a full-time, exempt position with a starting wage of $69,472 - $85,072
annually, DOQ.

Primary Responsibilities:
The Environmental Programs Coordinator applies technical environmental and regulatory
knowledge and skills to plan, coordinate, and implement the Districts environmental compliance and
regulatory activities.
Primary role of position is Environmental Permitting for District roadway maintenance and
construction projects.
Provides technical assistance and guidance to technical and professional staff as well as temporary
employees and consultants.
Qualifications:
Requires considerable knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local environmental laws,
regulations, and permitting as they relate to the Districts transportation construction projects such
as Clean Water Act Sections 404 and 401, National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), and Section 4(f).
Requires considerable knowledge of environmental concepts and principles including geology,
chemistry, hydrology, biology and general engineering principals and terminology.
Must have proven ability to research, interpret, and apply complex environmental regulations,
including NEPA; read and interpret engineering plans and drawings; coordinate multiple projects,
programs, and priorities; prepare technical reports and permit applications; communicate clearly and
concisely both in writing and orally.
Bachelors degree in environmental field along with a minimum of four (4) years progressively
responsible experience in environmental and regulatory compliance programs is desired.
Or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge,
skill, and abilities may be acceptable.
