RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Business Analyst III in Saint Louis, MO.

Summary:
This position will focus on business analysis as part of a Student Data Program, whose focus is bringing in student-related data from many different source systems into the Data Warehouse for reporting purposes. Specifically, this position will focus on data analysis related to higher education admissions and learning management systems, building requirements for new data coming into the warehouse from these systems, analyzing existing data warehouse components (i.e. cross-domain reporting requirements), and facilitating user acceptance testing.

Duties Include:

• Business Analyst documents requirements, establishes scope and objectives and determines strategy for evaluating requirements implementation in systems to achieve business goals


• Organizes requirements by release and other needed categories and sets up traceability matrix; Articulates requirements relationships and dependencies


• Translates and simplifies requirements for appropriate use; performs gap analysis; Performs requirements analysis working with technical team


• Performs requirements management and communication; Apply best practices for effective communication and problem solving


• Collaborates with project management to obtain requirements approvals per project plan; Facilitates go/no go decisions


• Uses requirements to drive the design or review of test cases, process change requests


• Provides consulting to all stakeholders regarding requirements management working with Project Management


• As a Business Analyst, you will independently prioritize the completion of tasks and resolution of issues to ensure compliance to project deliverables


• Coordinates activities with other business analysts


• Participates in recommending and implementing continuous improvement plans for business analysis


• Perform other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

• Understanding of data warehouse concepts


• Experience in data analysis


• Ability to create detailed requirements documentation

Preferred:

• IIBA Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or PMI Professional in Business Analysis Certification (PMI-PBA) preferred


• Familiarity with business intelligence tools (Cognos & Tableau)


• Working within a matrix organization

Nice to Have:

• Higher Education experience (or similar K-12)


• Familiarity with Slate or Canvas (or other admissions or learning management systems)

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
