We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Part Time Teacher to join our team. As a Part Time Teacher, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of children and contribute to their early childhood development. This position offers a flexible schedule and an hourly salary range of $16 to $18 per hour.
Responsibilities:
- Create and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities that promote cognitive, social, and physical development.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment for children.
- Supervise and monitor children to ensure their safety and well-being at all times.
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to maintain a cohesive and supportive team environment.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding their child's progress, behavior, and any concerns or updates.
- Maintain accurate records, including attendance, incident reports, and developmental assessments.
- Adhere to all licensing and regulatory requirements, including maintaining certifications and completing necessary trainings.
- Participate in staff meetings, workshops, and professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay updated on best practices in early childhood education.
Requirements:
- A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent; a degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is preferred.
- Previous experience working with young children, preferably in a childcare or educational setting.
- Passion for early childhood education and a genuine interest in the growth and development of children.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Ability to create and implement engaging lesson plans and activities that align with educational standards.
- Patience, flexibility, and the ability to adapt to the needs of individual children.
- Reliable and punctual attendance to ensure continuity and stability for the children in our care.
- Ability to pass a background check in compliance with regulations (please note that Serendipity Creek Childcare Center follows all applicable laws and regulations, including regulations prohibiting inquiries about criminal backgrounds).
