About This Position
CRJ wants you to join our growing team of compassionate and dependable Clinicians to support the wonderful individuals we serve!
This is a full-time, 40-hours/week, benefit eligible, exempt position that will be working in our New Haven, CT location.
This is a day shift position with a starting salary of $65,000/yr (License Eligible) and $70,000/yr (Licensed).

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Work as part of a clinical team to develop and implement treatment services to clients/individuals
  • Provide individual and group counseling using up to date evidence-based practices including, but not limited to: Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Relapse Prevention modalities, Relational and Psychodynamic therapy.
  • Perform necessary assessments/reports as required for treatment planning and other contractual obligations
  • Maintain current, timely documentation in accordance with agency/SQA regulatory requirements and timelines
  • Coordinate individualized client treatment services with internal/external providers
  • Cultivate positive relations with community partners and other referral sources (probation, parole, etc.) to facilitate coordination of services and care
  • Work in an independent setting with strong organizational skills and rigorous attention to detail.
  • Function as a resource to program staff on mental health related issues, and assist in the various components of the program
  • Prepare all necessary reports, participate in administrative and staff meetings, and attend weekly case reviews.

  • Job Qualifications:
  • Master’s Degree in social work, counseling, or other related field required.
  • Behavioral Health Licensce, such as: LCSW, LICSW, or LMHC required.
  • Familiarity in working in a strength-based, trauma informed environment
  • Good knowledge of substance abuse disorders and current treatments required
  • Familiarity with MA DPH/BSAS regulations desirable.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required. (Word, Excel, Outlook, other EHR systems familiarity)
  • Ability to work with a diverse population required.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish, etc.) a plus!

    Community Strategies (CS) supports adults with developmental or intellectual disabilities through specialized services that include Day Programs, Shared Living arrangements with providers, as well as over forty community-based group homes. Social Justice Services (SJS), supports those leaving incarceration to make positive, sustainable life transitions through residential and non-residential programs. Behavioral Health (BH) has worked to break cycles of violence, crime, and incarceration by providing client-centered interventions and support services to empower and strengthen individuals, families, and communities. BH provides domestic violence treatment and education, community reentry services, mentoring programs, and intensive outpatient programs. The Crime and Justice Institute (CJI) is a non-profit organization working at the local, state, and national level to improve public safety and the delivery of justice. CJI provides technical assistance, research, and other services to improve outcomes in policing, the corrections system, pre-trial, re-entry, community supervision, and juvenile justice.
