Operations Senior Specialist - Charles River

  • An Operations Senior Specialist works in Mercer's investment management back office.

  • Play a crucial role in supporting and enhancing our operations and development processes, with a specific focus on Charles River (order management system)

  • Maintain and enhance solutions for the Mercer clients

We will count on you to:



  • System Integration and Development. Develop, maintain, and enhance integration solutions for Mercer clients into Charles River Investment Management System (CRIMS) infrastructure.

  • Automation. Work with the internal IT group as well as the external vendors to create and implement automation tools to streamline operational processes.

  • Data Management. Ensure accurate and efficient data flow between systems, managing data integrity and consistency.

  • Support. Work collaboratively with the Mercer Tech Support team to provide technical support for hosted order management application (e.g. CRIMS), troubleshooting issues, and implementing fixes.

  • Work closely with portfolio managers, traders, and other Mercer stakeholders (e.g., consultants, client solution group) to understand their needs and develop solutions that enhance operational efficiency.

  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of systems, processes, and procedures.

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions to enhance the overall performance of our processes.

  • Perform additional trading operations functions as required.




What you need to have:



  • 3+ Years in investment management or financial industry

  • Possess a strong understanding of financial markets, retirement plans, and trading concepts

  • Have hands-on experience with the Charles River Investment Management System (CRIMS)

  • Have a desire to build efficient and scalable solutions rather than implementing quick fixes

  • Have excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
