Role Overview:

The Project Procurement Manager will be responsible for overseeing the entire procurement lifecycle, from initial requests for quotation (RFQs) through to purchase order (PO) awards. This role includes strategizing procurement processes, managing supply chains, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards, and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Strategic Procurement Planning:
  • Develop and implement materials management and contract strategies.
  • Plan and execute procurement processes in line with project schedules.
  • Draft and coordinate procurement plans with inputs from Sales, Estimating, and Project Management teams.
  1. Procurement Process Management:
  • Implement standardized procurement processes and templates.
  • Supervise procurement team members across various functions (Purchasing, Expediting, Inspections, Logistics).
  • Ensure all procurement activities adhere to company policies and contract requirements.
  1. Supplier and Contract Management:
  • Develop and maintain supplier relationships.
  • Prepare and review requisition packages, and manage technical and commercial clarifications.
  • Draft and manage purchase orders and change orders.
  1. Project Support and Reporting:
  • Provide support to project teams, including accounting and project closeout deliverables.
  • Participate in meetings to discuss project schedules, delivery timelines, and resolve issues.
  • Support expediting and follow-up on existing orders as needed.
  1. Compliance and Risk Management:
  • Understand Incoterms and associated risks, and mitigate as necessary.
  • Maintain the integrity of the procurement lifecycle, ensuring compliance with procedures and sound business practices.
  1. Leadership and Communication:
  • Promote a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Facilitate effective communication with internal teams and external suppliers.
  • Encourage innovation and efficiency in procurement processes.

Technical Requirements:
  • Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience in supply chain management, with 3 years in procurement, sourcing, or expediting roles.
  • 3+ years in a leadership role
  • Skills:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems.
  • Understanding of procurement processes, legal aspects of contracts, and vendor inspection techniques.
