The Product Line Manager for the Journee Brand at KNS International is a key leadership role responsible for managing and developing a product line from concept to market. Reporting directly to the Director of Design/Development and overseeing a Sample Coordinator, the Product Line Manager ensures that the product line meets growth objectives and aligns with the brand's vision. This role demands a blend of strategic thinking, creative collaboration, and a deep understanding of the fashion and footwear industry. Located in Draper, UT, this position offers an opportunity to influence the market with innovative and commercially successful products.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop a category product line. Responsible for all activities involved with the process of bringing a successful product line to market in a timely and profitable manner. Review progress continually through product life cycle to ensure attainment of objectives.
  • Develop overall product strategy, research and development requirements and analysis of market research; use analyzation tools to measure business progress and goals.
  • Work hand in hand with Design and Marketing counterparts to ensure storytelling and consistency throughout the entire product line with a strong attention to details.
  • Collaborate constantly and consistently with Design, Development and Planning counterparts fostering clear, open communication and transparency.
  • Create and present product briefs to Design & Development to ensure successful product line.
  • Introduce newness and freshness within the range focusing on commercial product that is built to keep our consumers happy as well as the opportunity to bring new consumers to the brand.
  • Create new opportunities for brand growth including accessories or areas that can increase the AOV.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of available materials for use within product line.
  • Adhere to seasonal calendar always hitting deadlines and milestones.
  • Collaborate, Communicate and Influence other leaders within the wide variety of functional areas such as merchandising, sales, marketing, manufacturing, and operations to develop and provide product definitions responsive to customer needs and market opportunities.
  • Defined role as the superuser of our Product systems.
  • Strong focus on maintaining cost targets, sku targets, margins and sampling responsibly.
  • Present product line to both internal and external audiences when needed, including but not limited to, sales meeting presentations, customer meetings, trade show presentations, etc.
  • Oversee the creation and maintenance of the linesheets.
  • Import essential information to Salsify platform, including New Item Worksheet (NIW) and Pre-Purchase Order (PRE PO).
  • Communicate with teams regarding product changes, such as color modifications and cancellations.
  • Organize and manage product samples, facilitating the seamless passing of samples to relevant teams.
  • Ensure timely and accurate updates, including images and relevant details.
  • Responsible for comp MSRPs and Site price at onset of season that is in line according to competitive research.
  • Act as a thought leader and subject matter expert in fashion product area.
  • CAD design as needed.
  • Other duties as requested.

Qualifications

  • University or four-year college degree in apparel/fashion design or equivalent work experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in fashion and/or casual footwear industry.
  • High degree of proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel and Powerpoint; Illustrator.
  • Efficiency in CAD design.
  • Footwear development knowledge is a bonus.
  • Practical knowledge of other functions such as sourcing, production, sales, marketing and merchandising.
  • Industry and consumer trend knowledge in the footwear industry.
  • Presentation/speaking skills - able to present and sell to all levels of the organization as well as the customer, communicating a clear and inspiring vision.
  • Demonstrated collaboration, interpersonal influence, and teamwork skills (maintains effective communication and working relationships).
  • Results-oriented while exhibiting great energy and resourcefulness.
  • Passion for the fashion footwear industry.

- Location: Draper, UT - Candidates must be willing to relocate if not currently local.

- Work Schedule: Hybrid position requiring in-office work on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
