Position: Business Data Analyst (FAN Site Deployment)

Location: Hybrid - Rosemead, CA 91770

POSITION SUMMARY

The FAN Site Deployment Data Analyst will be part of the Field Area Network (FAN) group within the Information Technology Grid Services organization at our utility company. This role supports the telecom and construction teams in project management, technical planning, and data analytics, with a focus on FAN Radio Access Network (RAN) site planning, construction, and equipment installation.

The successful candidate will have telecom experience, preferably with companies like Verizon or T-Mobile, and will be proficient in data analytics, reporting, and business analysis. This individual will gather data from various sources to generate insightful reports and analytics that drive decision-making.

Position Overview:

Support the project manager and team in planning and deploying FAN Radio Access Network (RAN) sites, including construction and equipment installation.

Gather, track, and report on business requirements for site deployment projects, ensuring all stakeholder needs are met.

Provide documentation, RAID (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies) management, and project administration support.

Update project plans and provide status reporting to management, supporting project tracking and reporting needs.

Conduct data intake from multiple sources to perform business analysis, offering solutions and alternatives to business problems.

Develop and map business processes related to FAN RAN site deployment.

Manage and store project artifacts for the deployment team.

Work with stakeholders to ensure project results meet requirements, design, and implementation goals.

Perform problem analysis, providing resolution and mitigation strategies as necessary.

Act as a key resource to management, customers, and clients on specific project-related issues.

Support the deployment team by developing, managing, and maintaining project artifacts and documentation.

Responsibilities/Job Duties:

Leads the gathering and identification of business and system requirements for migration and integration into the Field Area Network.

Coordinates with Stakeholders to ensure results meet requirements, design and implementation needs.

Performs problem analysis, directs implementation of resolution and mitigation.

Acts as key resource or consultant to department and division management, customers, and client organization on specific project, functional, or strategic issues with moderate to broad impact.

Consult with project and program management on risks, issues, project tracking, changes and technical direction of deliverables.

Perform project maintenance activities like updating project plans.

Develop and map business processes

Required:

Bachelor's degree in a related field.

5+ years of business and technical experience in network areas, consulting with clients, and developing solutions to meet business needs.

Strong knowledge of analytical methods and the ability to gather data from various sources for reporting and analysis.

Experience with project management tools and techniques, including RAID management and project tracking.

Experience with Microsoft Visio for business process mapping.

Six Sigma certification.

Certified Scrum Master (CSM)

Hands-on experience with 4G LTE or 5G network infrastructure.

Telecom or wireless network knowledge, with experience working for companies such as Verizon, T-Mobile, or similar.

Experience with data analytics and reporting, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.

Preferred

Experience with Site Tracker for managing telecom construction projects and deployments.
