Kelly Engineering is seeking a talented Quality Assurance Engineer for a direct hire position with our client, a well-established company specializing in cutting-edge manufacturing solutions for the aerospace and defense industries. Job Summary:
As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring that products, systems, and procedures meet high technical standards. Your responsibilities will include testing, documentation, and identifying technical issues. You will recommend solutions to improve product quality and performance while upholding the company's core values and commitment to safety.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide technical support to inspectors and manage customer inspections
Prepare and manage FAI reports (AS9100 compliance) and track status logs
Create SPC sheets and monitor trends to ensure quality control
Perform contract reviews, part inspections, and revise job travelers
Define raw materials, specialty tooling, and ensure CNC operations meet standards
Conduct internal audits, calibration verification, and system accuracy tests
Recommend corrective actions for potential issues and ensure safety compliance
Qualifications:
Proficiency with inspection tools, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and surface texture analysis
Familiarity with AS9100 standards and experience with Job Boss (or similar MRP systems)
2-5 years of relevant experience in a quality assurance role
High school diploma or GED equivalent required
Ability to prioritize tasks, solve problems, and work independently
