Position Overview:
We are seeking a Applications Engineer with 3+ years of experience and a strong background in design or applications engineering, particularly with pumps, seals, or valves. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing technical support to our customers, guiding them through the process of product selection, design review, and proposal development. This is a hybrid role that offers flexible hours to support a healthy work-life balance.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Reviews: Work directly with customers to perform in-depth technical evaluations of their requirements related to pumps, seals, and valves, ensuring proper application and selection of products.
RFP Management: Collaborate with customers to understand the scope of Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and generate accurate, competitive, and technically sound responses.
Customer Support: Serve as the main point of contact for technical inquiries, providing detailed solutions to customer challenges and recommending optimal products and configurations.
Product Customization: Collaborate with the design and engineering teams to develop customized solutions tailored to meet specific customer needs.
Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Work closely with sales, marketing, and manufacturing teams to ensure alignment between customer expectations and product capabilities.
Documentation & Reporting: Prepare technical documents, drawings, and reports as needed for internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications:
Experience: 3+ years in applications or design engineering, with a focus on pumps, seals, or valves, or similar rotating equipment.
Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of fluid dynamics, mechanical systems, and product design principles related to pumps, seals, and valves.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyze complex technical requirements and develop practical, efficient solutions.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a customer-focused attitude.
Software Proficiency: Familiarity with CAD software and other engineering tools is highly desirable.
Team Player: Strong ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently when required.
